Gerwyn Rees – Consultant Anaesthetist

Dr Gerwyn Rees is employed as a full-time senior NHS consultant anaesthetist at The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Birmingham.

He is fully registered with the General Medical Council, and is on the GMC Specialist Register for Anaesthetics in the UK (GMC No. 4341507). He is well known for his skills in the West Midlands and has practiced extensively throughout the region. He specialises in plastic surgery and burns surgery, with a strong interest in trauma surgery. Dr Rees has extensive experience anaesthetising for a wide range of plastic surgical treatments also specialises in regional anaesthesia. He qualified as a doctor from the University of Aberdeen in 1996, before going on to specialise in anaesthetics in 1999. He qualified as a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in 2002.

He is a full member of the Association of Burns & Reconstructive Anaesthetists (ABRA) and the British Burn Association (BBA).

My whole experience with Anne has been amazing. From start to finish she has made me feel extremely comfortable and excited about the whole surgery process.
