Fees
I believe in tailoring surgery to the patient and not vice versa. For non-standard procedures a bespoke treatment package will be offered with transparent pricing so you can choose exactly which elements you wish. For those interested, Spire do offer finance packages for treatment at their hospitals. Fees need to be settled with the hospital at least one week before surgery. Please contact my personal assistant or the hospital directly for further information.
Self Funding Patients
A standard fee is charged at all the hospitals I work at with an initial prepaid (non-refundable) consultation costing £200 for 45 minutes. Thereafter, the hospital offers a fixed price procedure fee to cover all costs related to your inpatient stay (includes accommodation, medications and routine investigations), theatre, surgeon and anaesthetic fees. If you are booking more than one procedure simultaneously then the hospital will apply a discount for the additional procedures. The fee covers all post-operative visits and any necessary management of complications between 6 months to 1 year (depending on the hospital you choose). This means that you will have no cause for concern. The actual fees vary depending on the hospital chosen and the number of procedures performed.
An initial estimate can be provided to you over the phone or by email. This is usually within 48 hours of a consultation. Please note, the hospital is the healthcare provider and your transaction is with them. Prices on this website act only as a guide to their formal quotation and hospital fees will vary and are subject to change without prior notice. Due to regional cost differences, particularly in London, my professional fee may also vary depending on the hospital where I am operating. However, every effort is made to maintain consistency of my fee between hospitals. Any formal quote offered prior to any fee changes will almost certainly honoured by the hospital in accordance with their terms and conditions.
Please note that the requirement for additional services, for example diagnostic imaging, will likely incur additional hospital costs that will be separate or prior to the formal quotation. Please speak to the hospital to verify the payment details prior to receiving any service or treatment.
Insured Patients
I am registered with all the main insurance companies. As individual policies vary considerably, you are advised to clarify the level of coverage with your insurance company. In the event of a shortfall in payment, the responsibility for settlement will remain with you.
For a variety of reasons, please note that some treatments offered may not be covered by your policy. This may require detailed discussion between you and your insurance provider prior to authorisation of any surgical treatment.
Rescheduling or cancelling surgery
Please see below the PDF attachment on terms and conditions for rescheduling or cancelling surgery with Anne Dancey.
These do not include any administrative charges that may be issued by the hospital and anaesthetist.
